Our Staff
Pastor Maggie Isaacson has been at North Valley since July 1,
2003. Prior to coming here she had been the associate pastor at
Concordia Lutheran in Superior, WI for three years. Pastor Maggie
is a 2000 graduate of Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN with a
Masters of Divinity degree. Her undergraduate degrees of
psychology and religion are from St. Olaf College, Northfield,
MN. Pastor Maggie has three children - Beth, Paul, and Sarah
Speich. Maggie married Lee Isaacson on April 16, 2005. Her
interests include music, reading, bird watching, and travel.
Mary Krull is the Organist at North Valley. Mary and her
husband Gene moved to Eureka in December 2001, planning to
spend their aging years in this beautiful location and enjoying
their 40-acre farm. Mary is a native Minnesotan, growing up on
a farm on the southern plains near Jackson. She played the
organ for their rural Lutheran church as a teenager and now has
come full circle, playing again at a rural church. Besides the
passage of time, a difference is that her Minnesota church was
not Scandinavian Lutheran, but German Lutheran. Mary works
part-time at Hazelden in their Contact Center, where they field
all incoming calls, typically 5,000 to 6,000 weekly. Gene and
Mary enjoy their four adult children and their families, including
five grandchildren, who live in the Twin Cities, Iowa, and Arizona.
"I very much enjoy North Valley - both the structure itself,
the community within, and our spiritual leader Maggie. It feels
like home."
